It is difficult and dangerous for rescuers to approach people who have fallen into cracks in the ice due to the thinness and unpredictability of the ice surface. The current system for rescuing people using an ice-rescue board requires at least two people: one rider and one assistant to pull the board out of the ice.
Saviour has been designed for use by a single rescuer. The towing coil inside the board makes the rescue operation easier. The rescuer ties the board to a sturdy object, slides out to the victim and pulls them onto the board, then presses the towing button to winch them both the safety. Saviour can greatly improve the efficiency of ice rescues.
