Mantis uses one triangular element for varying structural needs to build different types of furniture. In this way, the same structural item becomes a versatile element and creates a multifunctional furniture set with minimum compromise on the aesthetic goals. When using the stool and the side table, the wooden legs are supported by metal frames. When using the table and the lamps, the same wooden legs are supported with different metal frames. All parts are demountable and this makes Mantis easy to assemble and disassemble. It achieves overall aesthetic changes with the efficient use of materials. Mantis highlights how functional pure aesthetics can be and suggests that modular elements can make a product even more appealing to the eye.
