The first SUV car in MG brand is targeted at “City compact sports SUV”. design team proposed design direction of “build advanced high quality SUV” to ensure design competitiveness among the same class SUV.
MG GS inherit MG brand historical value while it’s redefined by new design language—use “Faceted Flow ” dynamic design language to lead new SUV design trend.
For MG GS front face design, designers try new proportion based on MG brand design language. Designers integrate upper grille with logo. Together with large surface to support grille and lamps.
MG body side is very dynamic. The nose leans forward and is poised for take-off. DLO area and body proportion meet golden ratio requirement. Shoulder line is sharp and straight. It stretches from wheel arch and goes around the body to rear lamp to achieve a balanced feeling.
Designers add sports car elements in rear part, designers are inspired by ready-to-run cheetah. High rear window and bumper turn upwards on both sides.
MG GS interior is inspired by aero plane cabin. It offers better customer experience with comfortable ergonomics, wide driving vision and intelligent HMI design.
