Kia’s first foray into the competitive tourer D-segment is a thoroughly practical vehicle for everyday use and also belongs to the most stylish cars in its class. The Optima Sportswagon features the same sharp lines and smooth bodywork that define the latest Kia models. Its strong, rising shoulder and gently sloping, swept-back cabin continue for longer to produce its distinctive tourer body shape. The rear overhang adds greater volume to the back of the vehicle and is disguised elegantly by the raked rear window and tapering roofline, giving the car a genuinely athletic stance in a typically conservative segment.
The driver-focused interior has a premium-quality ambience, with a high proportion of soft-touch materials, cloth and leather trim in natural tones, and tasteful metallic accents. The wide dashboard, designed along a horizontal plane, creates a genuine sense of spaciousness and modernity.
The Optima Sportswagon is equipped with innovative infotainment and safety assistance features – ranging from Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ to Autonomous Emergency Braking – and will be available with a choice of efficient gasoline and diesel powertrains, including a 245 ps GT model.
