The Germania E-violin by Gewa leaves the standard path of the “skeletonised outline shape” design seen on most electrical stringed instruments. It quotes the traditional violin-shape in its minimalistic interpretation retaining all the essential key reference points the musician needs. It combines a modern look whilst keeping the comfort, feel and playability of a traditional instrument. The materials used also differ from the known standard. GEWA uses in its construction sustainable materials and replaces the exotic wood parts by flexwood instead. Flexwood offers comparable feel and sonic properties of the well known ebony, only using recycled wood fibres.

On top of that, the violin is equipped with the latest state of the art components, made in Southern Germany, which set new constructional and functional standards with regard to tuning and playing performance.
