With the emergence of disc brakes on road racing bikes , TRP recognized an innovation opportunity and our engineers have created the first full-hydraulic disc brake specifically designed for Time Trail/Triathlon (TT) bikes, the HD-T910
For this market segment, aerodynamics and integration are keys to better performance.
Rather than use an external hydraulic master cylinder, the HD-T910 integrates the master cylinder inside the rider’s hand grip and serves a dual purpose as the riders contact point. The co-molded rubber grip slides directly onto the end of a standard 24.2mm TT base bar and no handle bar tape is needed.
The modular grip system is designed to integrate cleanly with modern electronic shifting systems. Replaceable inserts to adapt SRAM Blip Shifters and Shimano Di2 shift module are available.
A further benefit of hydraulic disc brakes to riders in the TT segment is ease of brake adjustment when packing and reassembling for travel. A bike with hydraulic disc brakes is quickly re-assembled without the need to adjust and re-center brakes as required with rim brake systems.
