For the first time in Cervélo’s history, the unique needs of every triathlete, whether training, racing or travelling, are truly front and centre. Therefore Cervélo devoted more than one year to research race and training environments, this included taking more than 14.500 photos; interviewing scores of triathletes, fitters, coaches and bike dealers; conducting real-life ride tests with prototypes; and collecting on-board data in all conditions. At the end Cervélo had a terabyte-sized database of real-world information, which got analyzed to create a list of goals.
Aerodynamically the P5X is 30 grams faster than the Cervélo P5 in a full Ironman setup on average. And this is a result as of more than 180 hours of wind-tunnel testing, along with extensive CFD analysis of 150-plus frame iterations.
The P5X’s exclusive Smartpak, Stealthbox and Speedcase components secure all items needed can be stowed and for disassembling only a few bolts need to be removed.
From aerodynamically integrated storage and stress-free packing to unprecedented micro- and macro-adjustability, the P5X focuses on a singular goal: Helping triathletes achieve their personal best.
