Siemens Home Appliances presented a completely networked kitchen at IFA 2016. What’s the secret recipe for making innovative connectivity interesting and acceptable to the public? The answer was Mykie – a personal kitchen assistant of the future that engaged with curious guests in the special Home Connect section – with gestures, movements and language.
But this wasn’t all that visitors could explore. Instead of setting up different product areas, Siemens staged the brand’s other innovations in an “Urban Loft”. Exhibits, theme islands and devices are connected in a single polygonal space. Hightech and well-being complement each other easily. This gave visitors the chance to feel at home in the digital world of the future. This trade show booth focused just as much on people as it did on technological innovations.
