SCADtalks is a quarterly series geared towards students teaching them to develop high-quailty professional presentations. It closely follows the format of Tedtalks, where speakers share stories from a range of topics In my speech, I chose to discuss my struggles with self-confidence as a designer. I wanted to be more transparent in hopes that it would inspire people to share times of their hardship—because in our society there’s a pressure to be perfect, and nobody can be perfect all the time and that it is okay to be vulnerable sometimes. I chose to use my skills as an illustrator to create a storyboard to follow my narrative. I believe that choice made a stronger impact with my speech because it made it more personal.
