Here is the provider of the most accurate map data worldwide. Once part of Nokia, the company was acquired in 2015 by a consortium of Audi, BMW and Daimler that use Here’s location data. Here were moving from a positioning of being mapmakers to becoming location intelligence experts, and needed a new corporate identity to reflect this new vision.

The idea: the old word mark represented a map pointer at 45 degrees, where the “h” was cut. We completed the logo with this “missing piece” to represent the hidden data intelligence at every location. The triangle symbol in the logo becomes a design element from which endless evolutions are possible, reflecting their new brand positioning.

Just as there are unlimited possibilities in every place, infinite data representations can unfold from the symbol and create a diverse and dynamic visual language. There are countless applications, but they always converge at one point: the triangle symbol of the logo.
