The leading enterprise software provider, SAP decided in 2016 to design an entirely new and bespoke typeface for its design language system, SAP Fiori. This choice was made to further enhance the already popular design language. SAP Fiori presents complex business data in a very comprehensible manner and accomplishing this requires a robust and clear typographic system. Replacing Fiori’s original typographic system based on two fonts with 72’s font family of seven provided the needed flexibility to deliver the consumer-grade user experience its users needed. The completion and deployment of 72 is not only representative of SAP’s promise to providing its users with the best possible user experience it’s also emblematic of SAP’s commitment to being a design-centric organization.
