The Millipore Muse cell analyser is designed for the quantitative determination of cell concentration, of the cell and apoptosis state, and of the cell cycle in real time. Furthermore, it offers higher precision than a manual cell count with a haemocytometer or an image-based analyser. This allows for making faster and more exact decisions, for implementing more productive processes, and for gaining deeper insight into cell cultures. The device carries out cell analyses using miniaturised fluorescence detection and micro-capillary technology for which a patent application has been filed and requires only a tenth of the footprint of a typical cytometer. Due to the laser-based fluorescence detection of every cell event, up to three cell parameters can be measured.
