The LED table lamp Matterhorn is made up of two elements: a three-cornered base, made of white marble from Lasa in Val Venosta in South Tyrol and resembling a mountain top, and the movable stem of the lamp, made of wood. If the stem is in a vertical position, the lamp stays off. If the stem is easily moved into movement it bends independently slowly forward and as soon as the top of the stem of the lamp will be parallel to the surface of the table the LED lamp will switch on. The electrical parts are integrated in the three-cornered base of the lamp, which is split, but through invisible magnetic connections it is joined to become one piece. By turning the direction of the magnet field, you can always access the lamp interior.
