The integrated minimalist design of the Defakto Kinetik has the aim to visually emphasize the interaction of transiting watch hands. The idea was to create an automatic watch that constantly generates repeating kinetic constellations.
The in-house manufactured, compact and modular three-piece stainless steel Ickler watchcase comes with a slightly brushed texture and has a diameter of 39 mm. The matte unicolor background of the dial contrasts sharply to the separated minute and hour indexes in contrary color.
Designed with the same lineweight the angular, skeletonized watch-hands constantly frame the indexes, create symmetrical pattern or interlace if superimposed.
The Defakto Kinetik connects all three watch-hands to the ETA 2824-2 automatic swiss made movement via three identical disks. The sweeping second brings continuous movement to the watch.
Customers can design their personal watch by combining the material variations 316L stainless steel in raw or with PVD coating as well as CuSn8 bronze. By choosing for the case body, the topring, the crown and the back many options are possible. The dial is also available without the logo.
