This compact, low-speed elevator is for use on low-rise floors. The feeling of oppressiveness people feel in the smaller space of conventional compact elevators has never been resolved. This product, however, has greatly reduced the feeling of oppressiveness felt in spaces about one meter square by lighting that reflects continuously off the walls as well as the doors, producing an effect that makes the walls seem deeper in back and farther apart from side to side than they are. People can feel that the elevator is more spacious than its actual size, both when boarding it and when riding in it, and this provides a comfortable space for everyday use without a feeling of oppressiveness in apartment buildings and small office buildings. The operating panel was designed for a minimal look with restrained horizontal and vertical lines in order to harmonize with most architectural styles, and the button design uses a font that makes the numbers easy to distinguish even for people with low visual acuity.
