The Honeycomb Frame Calendar was mainly inspired by bee itself. We redesigned the barely used wood to become a classic hexagon shape as a photo frame. We designed an interesting fold of calendar, which was composed of seven hexagons to make it look like a beehive and wish to bring a “honey feeling” in the office. The hexagon calendar is able to be put into the honeycomb frame, and the central information on the calendar is to tell people to be aware of environmental crisis, such as the issue of bee colony collapse. We also highlighted the idea of supporting green consumption, like the material of honeycomb frame was from FSC certified woods. Moreover, the finished packaging of honeycomb frame calendar was to represent the main design concept: rethink, recycle, and redesign the wastage from our wood flooring installation project for saving materials from Nature in every way we can.
