The fireplace FLOW stands for a new generation of digital design. CNC laser cutting of metal enables new, innovative folding and assembly techniques to be employed. The use of curved folds on the sheet material results both in concave and convex surfaces being generated in a single, original form. The fire pan and the supporting feet are connected in a minimalistic manner.
The act of folding two-dimensional sheet material into three-dimensional elements results in a lightweight, minimalist design; as it employs less material, it compares favourably on an ecological and economic level to more traditional designs while still retaining similar structural qualities. The resulting surfaces merge the different functionalities into a single object, thus achieving a purist lightness. Through a parametric geometry organization, FLOW enables a variable design in different sizes and personalizations. The fire bowl is available in steel and stainless steel.
