PERSONAL AUDIO CONCRETE OBJECT
P.A.C.O. is a digital loudspeaker manufactured in concrete (for the body) and fir harmonic board (for the top).
It offers wireless streaming via Bluetooth, so digital music from different sources can be played.
The innovation of the object is on two levels: materials and interface.
MATERIALS FOR DEEP AND RICH 3D ENVIRONMENTAL SOUND
P.A.C.O has a special tone due to the particular materials it is built of.
The body holds a sub-woofer cone for basses. It is heavy and amorphous and strongly enhances the deepness of basses making the sound warm and embracing.
On top of the body is a harmonic board in fir, the same material of acoustic string instruments. It is put into vibration by a digital transducer and diffuses extremely clear trebles.
Music controls can be played by gestural interface.
Sensors are placed under the top board in harmonic fir.
Slide your hand over them from right to left or vice versa in order to skip the songs.
Place your hand on the right sensor to increase the volume and on the left one to decrease it. Hold your hand over both sensors to play and pause.
