The global design approach by BASF is based on a combination of global presence and local expertise. The design team works with nearly all global and local automotive customers around the world. The BASF designers’ trend and color know-how is the basis for the annual color collection and innovative color solutions. In its annual global trend book, BASF presents the color areas that will play a role in the automotive industry in the future. The trend book is published exclusively for the automotive manufacturers’ designers and encompasses global and regional color topics based on observations of social trends and developments. It serves both as a presentation tool and a source of inspiration. Color samples coated with original paint reflect the trends, which are communicated through meaningful imagery appearing throughout the entire book as a common theme. The design concept of the global trend book reflects the annual trend theme in visual and haptic features.
The customer communication is exclusively extended through the “Coatings Color Collection” poster: The poster provides a systematic overview of the 65 colors of the entire RAW color trend collection.
