“Never stand still.” A journey through time between the lines.
Ferdinand A. Lange’s 200th anniversary was commemorated with a communications campaign, whose essential part – regarding content as well as formal aspect – the notebook was.
The notebook was inspired by F. A. Lange´s workbook he always had with him and in which many of his inventions that revolutionized the watchmaking world were written down for the first time. The goal was to not only design a visually appealing notebook but a notebook that was carefully designed for use true to the functional positioning of the brand.
The milestones of the company’s history are bound in archival form in booklets between the note pages. From graphic development, picture selection, typography, illustration styles to paper selection and fabrication – all aspects of the design were individually selected to match the topics and their time.
The research for the notebook was conducted with utmost diligence. It was designed with great attention to detail and manufactured with highest precision. It’s a tribute to the ingenuity of the manufacture’s founder who coins the company and the title of the notebook with his motto “Never stand still.”
