Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon where the stimulation of one sense triggers another. For example, synesthetes can taste shapes, see music and hear colors.

About 90 million children worldwide are synesthetes.

However because physicians and parents are often unaware of this phenomenon, almost no children are correctly diagnosed and therefore receive improper treatment.

Our task was to make the phenomenon known to physicians, parents, teachers and caregivers. So we decided to show them the world of synesthetes.

We visualized this phenomenon while raising awareness and providing information with the world’s first synesthetically designed website – complete with a synesthetically composed song as a soundtrack.
