Korea’s leading IT company NAVER started to ponder about how they could make the company’s lobby a more meaningful space. NAVER eventually transformed the whole lobby (1st and 2nd floor) into an open space that could be accessed by not only the employees, but also anyone who visited the premises.
The Naver Library at the Green Factory houses magazines/design books/encyclopedias/IT-related books which could be used to communicate with other and act as inspiration for new ideas. Unlike the average library, each bookshelf and area has been designed differently, according to the characteristics of the book, to provide an optimized experience to the library visitors. The library was also designed for the reader’s maximized comfort, by examining and incorporating book readers’ UX (user experience) into the space, thus providing employees and visitors with a totally new reading experience.
