The new Swiss Finance Museum is the first and only finance museum in the banking nation of Switzerland. The completely redesigned exhibition introduces visitors to the origins of the banking nation’s modern economic system, the Swiss financial market and its infrastructure. Key historical pieces from one of the world’s biggest and most important collections of historical securities allow visitors to trace the development of our modern financial economy
all the way back to the 16th century. The exhibition focuses on illustrating the dynamic relationship between the financial industry and industrialization throughout history as well as the significance of the Swiss financial market for daily life across generations.

Within the exhibition, the main design element is a stock market index, which leads through the room in the form of seating benches, showcases etc. In the area that is dedicated to the permanent exhibition, this element is kept in bright red, which this year’s special exhibition takes up the theme but colors it golden.
