Created in 1997, Quechua is Oxylane Group’s hiking sports brand. Its team designs products for hiking, trail running, high mountain hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and long-distance skiing.
Located at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, in the French Alps, Quechua’s international design and manufacturing centre is laid out as a laboratory. It includes a shop that sells the brand’s products and our design offices.
This configuration enables the project teams to remain close to clients and users. Thanks to this the Quechua teams can hear their opinion on our products and gain new insights. The best way to create new products and innovative services.
Quechua employs over 150 staff, that live and work at the foot of the mountains. Their common point: a passion for the outdoors. They are divided into 15 project groups, grouped by product typologies (rucksacks, shoes, clothes, etc) or sports (trail-running, cross-country skiing, etc). Each project-team includes a product manager, one or more designers and product engineers, a prototypist or a model-maker, a manager and merchandiser.
All the project teams are supported by the quality department, communication team, commercial and financial management.
