The first Austrian Liebherr plant was founded in 1960 at Bischofshofen in the Federal State of Salzburg. The largest hydrostatically driven wheel loader in the world, the L 586, is one of the products manufactured here. Today, the Bischofshofen GmbH Liebherr plant develops, produces, and sells all 15 wheel loader models in the Group. Additionally, the company is responsible for the sales and service of all Liebherr construction machines in Austria.
Over 50 years of experience and a high degree of expert knowledge ensure the high quality of Liebherr wheel loaders. At the Group's first production site in Austria, Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH develops, produces, and sells high-performance wheel loaders in four size categories: Compact loaders, stereoloaders, mid-size series wheel loaders, as well as large wheel loaders. The focus is primarily upon machine economy and performance. Thus the hydrostatic travel drive of Liebherr wheel loaders reduce fuel consumption by up to 25 percent.
