The Swiss Style, or International Style, is a reduced graphic design style, which focuses on simplicity and typography. The progressive and rather radical movement originated in Switzerland in the 1920 and spread worldwide in 1950. Shigeo Fukada is a renowned supporter of this style. His abstract posters and optical illusions made him famous, leading to his admission in the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame in New York City – as the first Japanese, ever.
