Is there a certain design approach
that you pursue?

A focus on the essentials and the
creation of a visual field of tension with
regard to proportions and materials. Together
with a positive, haptic experience
and the conscious design of details that
should make it fun to use the product.

How do you define design quality?

Quality reveals itself through well-being,
through the “feel-good factor” that the
use of all manner of products creates in
everyday life.
Were people the primary
consideration in the development process?

If lifeblood and devotion played
a role during the creative process then
the quality will be experienced, felt and
become visible.

What do you see as being the biggest
challenges in your industry at present?

Preventing the descent of product development
into the “gratuitous”.
