Professor Ron A. Nabarro is an industrial designer, strategist, entrepreneur, researcher and educator. He has been a professional designer since 1970 and has designed more than 750 products to date in a wide range of industries. He has played a leading role in the emergence of age-friendly design and agefriendly design education. From 1992 to 2009, he was a professor of industrial design at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, where he founded and was the head of the graduate programme in advanced design studies and design management.
Currently, Nabarro teaches design management and design thinking at DeTao Masters Academy in Shanghai, China. From 1999 to 2003, he was an executive board member of Icsid and now acts as a regional advisor. He is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences, has presented TEDx events, has lectured and led design workshops in over 20 countries and consulted to a wide variety of organisations.
Furthermore, he is cofounder and CEO of Senior-touch Ltd. and design4all. The principle areas of his research and interest are design thinking, age-friendly design and design management.
