Hans Ehrich, born 1942 in Helsinki, Finland, has lived and been educated in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy. From 1962 to 1967, he studied metalwork and industrial design at the National College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfackskolan), Stockholm. In 1965, his studies as a designer took him to Turin and Milan. With Tom Ahlström, he co-founded and became a director of A&E Design AB in 1968, a company which he still heads as director. From 1982 to 2002, he was managing director of Interdesign AB, Stockholm. Hans Ehrich designs for, among others, Alessi, Anza, ASEA, Cederroth, Colgate, Fagerhults, Jordan, RFSU, Siemens, Turn-O-Matic and Yamagiwa. His work has been exhibited at many international exhibitions and collections and he has received numerous awards.
