The most important job for a designer is to understand the life cycle of a product. Starting at the quest to find the correct product requirements by understanding your targeted market and customers, the design should be optimized throughout the different phases of its life cycle.

All stakeholders in the development process of a product, by which I’m aiming at the whole process from specifications through engineering and production to use and discarding, will need to be considered. The end-users satisfaction is often considered most important in products in order for the product to be deemed successful, yet there are more human beings to be considered during the development of the product. I believe that it is of utmost importance for a product to be successful, to make sure all of the stakeholders are happy, and that they remain happy.
