Hale Orb is an honoree of the CES 2018 Innovation Award in the Smart Home category. It solves the problem of family connectivity, allowing family members in remote locations to easily share photos and videos from different sources to be viewed on a large TV screen, regardless of the app/devices used or the technical savvy of the members. Its beautiful design, smooth user interface, voice control, and web service all integrate perfectly to create a unique product that anybody can use. In a larger context, Hale Orb is a post-smartphone interface platform, and an “Enchanted Object.” The application of Hale Orb goes well beyond just family photos and videos, and it will be at the center of next generation connected homes. With its own “Orb OS” , the product can be updated and different applications by partner third party companies can be integrated, for solutions such as home security, senior care and monitoring, video content consumption, and more. After almost 18 months in development, the product is going into production in February 2018 to deliver to its crowdfunding backers. “Hale” means “home” in Hawaiian.
