In the next 30 years, 75% of the fastest growing professions will require STEAM-related skills. 50% of jobs today will disappear and 50% in the next 30 years don’t even exist yet. To successfully navigate through the fast-changing environment, students need to master critical STEAM-related skill sets. The global trend of embracing robotic learning to implement STEAM education has proven to be very successful. We at Actura have designed our robotics kit from a curriculum-first perspective where our wide-range of products are most suited to implement STEAM education in schools. FlipRobot E300 currently holds three patents: 1) FlipEye expression system is a pair of eyelids that cover ultrasonic sensors without causing detection interference 2) Variable Control Board so that students can start learning computational thinking without even having to plug in to computers 3) Square-shaped chassis so that the car behaves more like a robot and provides ease of devising algorithms in higher level with various extension kits. Through FlipRobot E300, Actura hopes to promote design thinking and computational thinking, and to help students acquire the 7 survival skills needed in the 21st century.
