To incorporate more natural light into the long but narrow layout,the transparent glass roof was installed to cover patio.On one side of the wall, wood texture fiber cement sidings are set to draw attention inward from outside.The full cabinets, built with fiberboards to obtain functionality with a twist of and decoration, are well-placed along the longshape.

The oblique compartment design that separates the office from the reception areais an attempt to visually and expands the horizontal space.The application of transparent glass at the junction point enables people in the office to observe outside movements.

The fragmented space underneath staircase is divided into two. The platform is designed for storage and displaying materials.The resting area is symmetrical to the shape of staircase, adds diverse layers to the interior space.

The project site is now in the unified white and grey tone, with the front of ground and first floor being set back to bring in natural light.The proper use of selected raw materials, such as polished microcement, iron hardware, wood, and glass, the historical residence is now vividly new with incorporated vestiges of the past.
