Hosoya Schaefer Architects AG is a Zurich-based office for architecture, urban design and research founded by Hiromi Hosoya and Markus Schaefer in 2003. The firm works on a wide spectrum of projects such as the 230-ha masterplan for Ljubljana, mobility research for Autostadt/Volkswagen, hotel alterations, private houses or a train station in Toronto. The firm won first prizes for both the Engadin Airport and the train station area in St. Moritz. It has worked on a study for the metropolitan region of Zurich and several urban design projects in the same perimeter. Its communication design work is driven by research and revolves around understanding (urban) systems.
