Joachim H. Faust, born in 1954, studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin, the Technical University of Aachen, as well as at Texas A&M University (with Prof. E. J. Romieniec), where he received his Master of Architecture in 1981. He worked as a concept designer in the design department of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Houston, Texas and as a project manager in the architectural firm Faust Consult GmbH in Mainz. From 1984 to 1986, he worked for KPF Kohn, Pedersen, Fox/Eggers Group in New York and as a project manager at the New York office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. In 1987, Joachim H. Faust took over the management of the HPP office in Frankfurt am Main. Since 1997, he has been managing partner of the HPP Hentrich-Petschnigg & Partner GmbH + Co. KG in Düsseldorf. He also writes articles and gives lectures on architecture and interior design.
